Cabin Contest
In celebration of Outdoor Heritage Day the Grand Valley Ranger District (US Forest Service) is offering the opportunity for families to share their experiences and findings while recreating on the national forest and win an overnight stay in a historic Forest Service cabin.
Families with children under the age of 18 are encouraged to participate in at least 2 activities on the Grand Mesa National Forest and write a short summary for each of their experiences stating what they did, what they learned and other interesting tidbits. Photos of the experiences are also encouraged to accompany the summaries (preferably in digital format). For each activity completed, a sticker can be obtained from the Grand Mesa Visitor Center.
For more information contact the Grand Valley Ranger District at (970)242-8211. Or download an activity packet here (Word Document).
