The purpose of Outdoor Heritage Day is to introduce kids and their families to all of the great opportunities the outdoors have to offer, and to provide them with the information they need to pursue those activities on their own. There are a variety of outdoor activities that youth can participate in including fishing, archery, rock climbing, shooting, nature hikes, a hunting simulator, and much more. Representatives from land management agencies and non-profit organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Lunch is provided, and best of all this event if completely free.
